Exciting opportunity for a Proposals Manager to join a top global law firm. As a member of the bid team you will be responsible for the management of global, cross practice bids You will be responsible for assisting the partners with the management of business opportunities from improving the proposal process to developing and implementing client specific and sector business development strategies.

Responsibilities will include:

• Project management of the proposal infrastructure (precedents, databases and development)
• Managing day to day team workload, including mentoring and development of others
• Offering innovation and creativity with regard to the composition of proposals, developing and sharing best practice
• Generation and communication of management information
• Provision of high quality advice to partners and the BD team in order to win new business
• Support partners with sector or location based account management, co-ordination of marketing activities and profile raising initiatives for clients/targets

The ideal candidate:

• Extensive experience of working on competitive proposals and pitches ideally within the legal or professional services market
• Adept at developing propositions for clients and sectors and marshalling materials in support of these arguments
• Resilient, pragmatic and have strong project management and analytical capabilities
• Appetite to work on client development activities and a well developed understanding of sales
• Possess the ability to think strategically and the energy and determination to realise these strategies at a tactical level
• Experience of leading teams of people drawn together for specific projects or client activities
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
