This highly regarded global law firm is seeking a BD Coordinator to be based in their London office. Ideal for a 2nd jobber, this role is key in helping to drive forward two of the firm’ priority industry sector groups - Financial Institutions Sector (FIS) and Energy Industry Group (EIG)

Working with the BD Manager and BD Adviser, you will help develop and implement the firm's sector initiative. You will coordinate a structured approach to targeting and new business generation, pitching, profile raising and marketing campaigns across the sectors and on an international basis. You will also coordinate activities with the central and international BD and marketing communications functions to ensure prompt and seamless service delivery in areas such as analysis, publications and event organisation.

The role will also be required to provide daily support to two market-leading partner teams: a financial institutions practice team, specialising in regulatory, commercial and transactional matters, and a transactional energy practice team.

Key Responsibilities will cover a large spectrum of areas, ranging from pitches to marketing campaigns/profile raising as well as  wider BD projects. Specific tasks will include: working with the BD & PR team to manage the implementation of an effective profile raising plan for the groups, including our approach to Directories, Awards and Sponsorships; Coordinating and overseeing client events and seminars; Drafting, reviewing and updating  practice area entries in trade year books, directories, legal supplements and awards entries; providing  input and intelligence to develop the BD Plans for the sector groups.

Previous experience in working in a business development/marketing environment is essential as is a good understanding of marketing and business development processes. Good written communication skills with an excellent eye for detail and the ability to write compelling propositions is also key. The successful candidate will hold a relevant marketing or sales qualification, such as the CIM or equivalent.
